Helping seniors spot scams before they happen

Protecting Elders Together

Empowering older adults with clear, practical advice to spot scams and stay safe in today’s digital world.

Older adults lose more than $3.4 billion each year to online scams, including email, text, and tech-support fraud.

Americans 60+ report over 100,000 cases of online fraud annually — with an average loss of more than $30,000 per victim.

Scam attempts via email and text are now the most frequent type of fraud older adults face, occurring weekly — sometimes daily

About

TechProtectElders.org was non-profit founded by Arya Naeim in his junior year in college. He was motivated by both his interest in mental health and the role that technology can play in both positive and negative ways. He realized his grandparents were getting almost daily emails and text-messages there were scams, generating a lot of anxiety and fear. The goal of TechProtectElders.org is to educate and arm older individuals with the knowledge to avoid being susceptible.
